Easy 30-Minute Dumpling Lasagna (One-Pan Viral Dinner Trend)
Dumpling Lasagna
is the latest, most viral food trend taking America by storm! This innovative fusion dish perfectly blends two culinary worlds: classic Italian comfort and Asian cuisine. The concept replaces traditional lasagna pasta sheets with frozen Asian dumplings (potstickers), which are then baked in a rich marinara sauce and smothered in gooey, melted mozzarella cheese. The result? A rich, incredibly easy, one-pan dinner that comes together in just 30 minutes with minimal effort!
Ingredients
Dumplings: 1 bag (approx. 500g) of frozen Asian dumplings or potstickers (chicken, beef, or vegetable), no need to thaw
.Sauce: 2 cups of Italian marinara sauce.
Cheese: 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese (plus 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese for extra flavor).
Spicy Kick (Optional): 1 teaspoon of chili oil or red pepper flakes.
Garnish: Chopped green onions or fresh parsley.
Instructions
The Oven: Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
The Base: Spread half a cup of marinara sauce evenly at the bottom of your baking dish to prevent sticking.
The Layer: Arrange the frozen dumplings side-by-side in a single layer over the sauce.
The Top Sauce: Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the dumplings, making sure they are completely covered (drizzle the chili oil here if using).
The Cheese: Evenly scatter the mozzarella and parmesan cheese over the top, covering everything completely.
Steam Bake: Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes so the dumplings can steam and cook through.
The Broil: Remove the foil and broil under the top oven heating element for 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
The Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot and cheesy!
